Neater_Boat_Info (NBI) offers you the opportunity to have complete control of your information – you determine what to record and how and where you store it. Our templates are built using Notion – a tried and tested content management system with an excellent database system.
Because NBI is built using Notion you can use it on your phone, tablet, laptop and desktop across all of the major platforms: Android, Apple & Microsoft.
The Neater_Boat_Info solution offers Notion templates that help you:
build a complete Boat Inventory – keep lists of part numbers, serial numbers, expiry dates, storage places (and what is in them), work to do and maintenance done.
store a collection of Checklists – for safety briefings, leaving lists & winterising
keep a simple Log – to record distances and engine hours
log your Expenses (if you dare to add it all up!)
keep notes on Ports and Anchorages
have a ready reckoner for anchoring using the Anchoring Assistant – for those cruising in areas where tide changes as symmetric
You can use NBI offline – though you will need to make sure you have set Notion pages to work offline, as you go. So, no need for internet access to view your information.
The Inventory
The NBI Inventory splits the equipment on your boat into Systems, Subsystems, Components and Parts.
Notion has several different ways of viewing information, making it simple to navigate to the bit of equipment you want to do something on.
You can then store any information you like about that bit of equipment, such as serial and part numbers, location of any spares, dates for renewal or expiry, and any servicing type notes.
You control all of this information and can put in as much are as little as you like.
